I participated in the hackathon hosted at the National Audit Office. A team of designers and developers from the dxw created a web app which compares homelessness, social housing stocks and social housing that is sold in each Local Authority area. We took the data from the ONS census for 2011 via ONS OpenAPI. Our project won the hackathon.
There are two blog posts that talk more about the project and the data we used. Code is available on GitHub.
